This Privacy Policy explains how TripBuilder24 ("we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the TripBuilder24 mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

• Email address and password (passwords are never stored in plain text — authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication).
• Display name (optional).
• Access metadata: account creation date and last login.

1.2 Trip content you create

• Destination, travel dates, preferences, traveler type, budget, dietary restrictions, interests, and notes.
• AI-generated itineraries (daily activities, places, and descriptions).
• Logged expenses (amount, currency, category, date, and optional note).
• Uploaded documents (PDFs and photos — e.g., boarding passes, hotel reservations).

1.3 Device permissions

The App requests the following permissions only when needed:

• Camera: to scan or photograph travel documents.
• Photo library: to attach existing photos to a trip's documents.
• Location: to display nearby activities on the map. We do not track your location in the background — we only request it when you open the map.

2. How we use your information

• To manage your account and keep your trips in sync across devices.
• To generate personalized AI itineraries based on the details you provide.
• To enforce Free and Pro plan limits (e.g., the monthly AI generation cap).
• To process subscription purchases through RevenueCat (we never see your credit card details).
• To improve app reliability and fix bugs.

3. Third-party services

We rely on trusted service providers to operate TripBuilder24:

• Firebase (Google): for authentication, the database (Firestore), and file storage (Storage). Data is hosted in the europe-west1 region (Belgium).
• Anthropic (Claude AI): for itinerary generation. We share your trip preferences (destination, interests) but never your personal identifiers (name, email).
• RevenueCat: for managing subscriptions on the App Store and Google Play.
• Google Maps / Apple Maps: for map and location display.

4. Security and your rights

Your data is protected through HTTPS connections and server-side security rules that ensure only you can access your trips. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your account and all associated data directly from the app, or by contacting us.
